HP PSC 2175v Printer Specifications
This product belongs to the 2170 series which comprises of several models. Some of them are PSC 2170, PSC 2175, PSC 2175xi, PSC 2175v, PSC 2171 and PSC 2179 models. The HP PSC 2175v model works at the speed of up to 18 pages per minute (ppm) for black print and 13 ppm for color. The printer is an all-in-one printer with the ability to print, copy and scan.
The HP PSC 2175v model runs on the HP drop-on-demand Thermal Inkjet technology. This feature is has a complement of a monthly duty cycle of 2000 pages but an average of 500 pages. The print language is the HP PCL level 3, PCL3 GUI or PCL 10.
HP PSC 2175v driver – Windows System Requirements
The supported versions of Microsoft Windows include Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. For these versions of windows, any Intel processor II, Celeron or compatible processor will work fine. However, for RAM, a 64 MB size is suitable for Windows 98 and Windows Me. But for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP, a 128 MB RAM is more suitable. Before loading the software, a minimum of 300 MB free disk space must be available. In addition to that, another 50 MB free disk space used for saving images must also be ready. An SVGA monitor of 800 x 600 with a 16-bit color depth is also usable on this printer. Also, an active CD-ROM is applicable for use on this device. An internet connection is recommended to be available before running the installation of this printer.
The supported internet browsers include Internet Explorer 5.0 or a higher version, and Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher.
HP PSC 2175v driver – Macintosh System requirements
For systems that run on Macintosh operating systems, the printer supports Mac OS 9.1 and later versions. The conditions are a G3 Processor or higher version, a 128 MB of RAM and 250 MB of free disk space. The available disk space must also, also, have up to another 50 MB space for saving full color scanned images. The handy USB port is used for a direct connection while the software can run through the CD-ROM drive. The compatible monitor is that of 800 x 600 screen resolution and a 256-color display.
The manufacturer, however, recommends that to run the printer smoothly on a Mac system, the requirements should be
1. A 500 MHz G4 processor or any higher version
2. A 256 MB of Random Access Memory (RAM)
3. Available Internet access and
4. A sound card
Note this, to use the HP Memories Disk Creator Software; there must be a working CD writer. In addition to this, there must also be an additional 700 MB of free hard disk space.
The primary connectivity is through the Hi-speed USB 2.0 port.

At the best mode for printing, the printer resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi for both monochrome and color print. At normal mode, the resolution is 600 x 600 dpi while at the Fast mode, the resolution is 300 x 300 dpi.
Disadvantages of HP PSC 2175v printer
1. The printer does not support DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0
2. A USB cable is not in the package of the printer. You may have to get one from a trusted store.
