Copy specifications of HP PSC 2170 printer
The copy features are based on the digital image processing and walk up to black and white or color copying ability. This feature is at the resolution of 600 x 1200 when copying a document in black. But in color copying, the resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi on a premium photo paper. The Printer can produce up to 50 copies of a document at the copying mode, but it depends on the printer model in use. For HP PSC 2175, the zoom range is between 50% to 200%. Whereas, the copy speed is up to 16 copies per minute, cpm for black and 12 cpm for color. Note that the copy function only supports a maximum of A4 or US Letter paper sizes.
The scanning function of HP PSC 2170 is by the HP Photo and Imaging Software technology. This feature uses the ReadIris Pro Optical character recognition (OCR) software. The printer scans at a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi optical resolution. And with digital enhancement, the resolution can even be up to 19200 dpi. However, note that the maximum resolution of the scan function might have a limitation based on the available memory on the computer. Other factors that can affect the resolution is the complexity of the document underscan.
The color depth of the scanning function can also be up to 48-bit especially with a graphics software. Without a separate software for scanning, the color depth is just 24-bit. The grayscale depth is 8-bit (that is 256 levels of gray). The scanning function has TWAIN compliance and can cover A4/US Legal sizes at maximum.
Media sizes Support
The printer supports different types of media input sizes. These include Plain papers of A4, A6, B5, B6, US Legal, US Letter, etc. Apart from plain papers, other supported sizes are index cards, transparencies, envelopes, banners, labels, 4 x 6 photo papers, etc.
The power consumption of the printer stands at 75 watts at maximum operation. But when the printer is idle but plugged in, it consumes only 4 watts of power. The primary source of an input voltage is an AC of 100 to 240 volts at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. The maximum current through the printer should be 1.0 A.
The printer is safe for use in the environment and is certified so by reputable bodies.
